Meant to do 16 today as my last long run before the race in two weeks, but I ran out of road and didn’t feel like doing a double back just to bring up the kms. So just walked back home doing 30 m elevation on 330m as a cool down.
I was pleased with the first 10k split of 1:10 which included 2 km on the beach and 190m of ascent. That’s a PB.
I also managed to keep my target average pace of 7:15 until km 13 and it was only on the last ascent of another 100m over 2 km that my average pace started to dip.
