8th of July – fibers on a very rainy friday

I will spare you the broken record, no, I wont. We do like talking about the weather over here, after all. At this stage you must have heard, Ireland is having a dreadful summer this year, at least when it comes to the weather. This place is called the green isle, yes, it does rain more often than in most other parts of Europe, but, now, I mean really… It doesn’t have to be as much as it is at the moment, especially with these unseasonal, low temperatures. This is what I call really bad weather!
So I spent the entire day indoors, today. I think that’s a first since we’ve moved house. But if you know me or if you read here often, you might be aware, I’m not good at sitting still, being idle is something I don’t do very well. But with the heavy showers and general lack of summer outside I did spend a lot of time on the computer catching up, writing emails, reading things, researching various projects and interests. And I wanted to update some of my blogs, today, too.

As it is Friday there is no better opportunity to post a picture of my latest multi-coloured-yarn socks that I finally finished last week. These colourful socks do go with our outside temperatures and I’ve found my biggish supply of woolen socks perfect to wear inside my wellingtons while out in the garden :-)

I love those socks … the colors and stripes are wonderful! Must have been a bit of cheer in the otherwise grey day.
