17th of May – moving

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

We’ve had a busy few weeks. When i came back home in April, J told me, we need to move house and so I started looking, then found ourselves a new home and moved house. Gone is the garden with the vegetable patches, gone is my beloved poly tunnel, gone is the clay soil I used to dig up from the garden for my pottery project. Instead we live in a house two thirds up the highest elevation in the north west of the county with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. At around 500 feet above sea level I feel that bit closer to the clouds. :-)

It’s still mostly boxes at the moment. it was only yesterday I spotted my urban sketching kit and thought, wow! Sketching and painting, I haven’t done that in a long time. But I will. Now that we are permanently here in the new house I want to make some time for my creative everyday challenge again -me time, creative time to strike a balance with all the chores that come with moving house.
And then I hope to blog again even though we don’t have a proper internet connection yet. For now I leave you with a photo of the sunset we get to enjoy here most evenings.

I do love where we live now, especially when the day draws to an end like that.
