knitting

I hope you are all having a peaceful happy holiday season. Somehow December has turned into a quiet month on the art front and it surprises me after having worked so intensively through the month of November. But it is how it is and I just go with the flow.
Having said all that, I have been extremely busy and have been creative, too. I just didn’t post about it much here. After all the blogging in November here, I decided to give my other blog a bit of tlc and decided to keep any knitting, cooking and photography and whatever else I decide to do that is more home ec and not art&craft there
So, what have I been up to? Maybe I’ll give you a little bit of history first. I follow Beth’s blog and she re-ignited my love for knitting. I used to knit a lot as a young girl but unfortunately seem to have forgotten most of it. And in the past couple of weeks I have gone knit crazy making up for the 25 years that I haven’t knitted so it seems. I went from knitting a hat, to knitting gloves, then a cawl. And then I challenged my friend Beth to knit a pair of socks before the year is out. The busy lead up to Christmas caused us to postpone the knitting challenge to January 2011.

And now I’m coming to the main point of this post. We are going to challenge everyone who cares to join us to knit a pair of socks in January, turning our own personal little challenge into a blog world event. We have even made a button for the occasion.

If you click on the button it should take you to the post that announces the challenge. I will also post a how-to-knit-socks post on the 31st of December for anyone who is bit rusty or new to knitting.

Come and join us!
