17th of February – urban sketch

February 17th, 2011 at 18:32

I went into Dublin yesterday. The Irish Film Center is situated in the heart of Dublin in an old three story Georgian building. They converted the courtyard into the foyer with a coffee shop, box office and lounge for the cinemas. The floor has lovely polished lime stone slabs and the entire courtyard is covered over with a glass roof. It’s a great place to have a coffee and sketch. I’m not an urban sketcher, but I’d like to be, so I try. I had to go meet a friend, so this is rather unfinished. I should have taken a photo with my phone for comparison… next time!

Oh. I love this. The description and then your sketch as well. So grateful you created it and I read about it (thanks to CED2011~)

It’s got a very coffee feel to it!
