glory

Today we had another beautiful spring day here in Ireland. We decided to have lunch on the front porch. It was wonderful.
.

.
I have beach pebbles everywhere around the house inside and out. And I hadn’t looked at the ones on the outside picnic table for a while. But over lunch I studied their beauty. They are some of my favourites. I have a soft spot for the red ones. They don’t do very well when you try to carve them because they are extremely hard. But they are just beautiful to look at. So I took some photographs instead.
.

.
And this afternoon I did another carving for a friend who celebrated mother’s day without her only child. I send her extra glorious good wishes, yesterday and today and all the days to come.
