garden elf

all plants were in his care and he saw to it, that the meadow would bloom during the summer months by working hard during the early spring days. One of his favourite jobs was to carry the seeds of flowers to barren stretches of land were the soil had been upturned and now needed new growth.

To illustrate a story without anything to go by except what’s in your head, is a strange thing. I’m not that happy with my drawing, I’d like it to be finer. I suppose it’s like writing a novel, you need to flex your writing muscles…

I might do a few detail drawings of plants and flowers and stuff to get into the material of -life of a garden elf- before working on my possible story book again.

But I do think of this little fella to be an elf in the garden, much like an elf to a writer or an elf to a painter, who brings good creative love to the artist… this elf makes the gardener have a green thumb.

I think my studio elf has gone off somewhere else though. I’m not in a good mood for drawing, writing these days.
But I want to keep going anyway and see what happens next.

AWESOME! Yes, definitely keep going- some times I just have to feel it out and go slowly when I am not feeling in the zone. I love this drawing-
Sending you “in the zone” vibes!!
