mugs

We went to pick up our mugs yesterday. I love it!

The glaze is really even and a lovely dark night blue.

And then we sat down to do it all again. I painted a mug with a scene from my story about the garden elf. I took some pictures of my work before we left. It was clear glazed and will be put into the kiln tonight and ready for collection tomorrow evening. We’ll go and pick them up then. I can’t wait, one more sleeps and then!!! It’s like waiting for Santa!

I love them both! I can’t wait to see the garden elf mug after it has been fired in the kiln. Lovely work!

    Beautiful!
The garden elf reminds me of the book I made you :)

Yes. I should have said that!! The main one is the musical notes in the flutter track, I took that from your design… The flowers I picked up from napkins and stencil patterns they had in the cafe where we were painting, and the butterfly elf? Well that’s just what’s going through my head at the moment. But yes, Angie, the inspiration was there from you. I hope you don’t mind.

ooh, I’m back from Berlin and I got the mug but didn’t get a chance to take a photo before leaving it behind there. I’ll take photos the next time I go there. The colours are really, deep and really quite dark, it looks totally different from the pastel like look of the glaze before burning.

These are lovely, Ines! We used to go to paint pottery sometimes, but since I can’t draw my designs were necessarily very -erm – basic!

You are inspiring me! Where did you make these? I feel like I missed a part of the story!!
