copper fish

September 21st, 2010 at 15:15

We had an old sheet of copper in the shed and I used my tin snips to cut out this fish, I then used some sand paper to clean off the darkish discolouring, at the moment it’s rather shiny. I would like it to go green. Does anyone know how to kick-start the oxidation process that leads to the green colour?

thanks for the link, Susan. Hmm, have to think about that. I’m not sure if I want to get into using the chemicals to make it green. I’ll let you know if/when this progresses any further. :-)
