8th of November – apple wine

November 8th, 2010 at 8:36

We spent a large part of yesterday bottling our homemade country wines.
Top of the list for me is the apple wine, it tastes like a lovely smooth cider without the bite of alcohol nor the fizz of fermentation. And the fluid is crystal clear and has a lovely, warm, subtlest yellow hue, a colour of a chardonnay.

Seven precious bottles of which only one is clear glass, the rest are green. Shame really for it is not just tasty but also beautiful to look at. Tomorrow, I might start designing a label.

Another page in my sketchbook. When you look through a clear liquid in a bottle the world seen in the reflection is distorted – not just when looking through wine :-P I couldn’t capture that in the painting with watercolours, but I can see it!

I don’t usually want wine this early in the morning, but your painting and description have got me! Wow! Grateful to have found you through #aedm2010

Great painting! Designing a label for your bottles should be so much fun, can’t wait to see what you come up with.
